DELICIOUS BREEZE, A NEIGHBORLY CHAT, AND DELIVERY!
1.As is usual for us, our back porch and our plans for the memorial day week-end have come together nicely. Fred finished the repairs on the porch in time for Yon to be able to clean up the yard and our outdoor space to be able to sit outside on the porch in the early evening and take some fresh air, while watching the birds take care of eating their munchies and use the bird-bath. It is a gentle interlude just before the evening meal.
2.What a joy to feel up to being pushed outside in my chair since I've been home from the hospital. Even our friend from upstairs came out on her balcony and threw some tidbits out to the birds, and then hung over the Bannister and talked to us as we sat watching the show of dozens of swooping black birds, who then bounded around in the yard, their green-purple necks shimmering in the golden afternoon.
3.We lazily planned what to have for our cook-out on Monday, since it is obvious that we won't be going to C.R. to visit the family plots. It is just as well that we won't be out on the road...too many folks will be using up way too much gas to make those treks ...and to what purpose? Our family prefers to spend Memorial day at home, where it is safe. Then,as we came in from our outing, our expected delivery of the new air-conditioner arrived, was installed, and is working perfectly. What a blessing that Yon can pick up the phone, ask for something, and have it delivered,on time, no hesitation, no fuss...and no questions asked.
