I can't even call this a movie review, because it's going to be far more personal than that. This is one of those movies that leave you feeling as though you have just come back from someplace else when it is over. It carries you away with it, to the time you fell in love...not wanting to. The emotion just snatched you up,and leaves you thinking about that love, the euphoria that you felt, and the joy of the moment, and a feeling of wistfulness, poignancy that you will probably never feel that way again. I found myself sitting there as the ending credits rolled, staring off into the distance, thinking about love. My very first real love, and that first kiss, and how amazing that first kiss is, and how most people are still searching for the first kiss feeling all over again, the rest of their lives. That's probably what makes some so flighty, come to think of it, that they expect every kiss to be like that first kiss, and when it isn't they feel as though the love has gone, and they go looking for it again.
Anyway, this was a wonderful movie, with Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler and a marvelous cast, set in the lushness of Hawaii, with some very different twists!
With some crude humor this film is not for children.
