BLISSFUL MEMORIES, MOLLY'S BREAKTHROUGH ,GETTING A BOOST!
1.I happened upon a piano teaching segment on PBS early this morning, and the girl played "Malagenia"...it was my mother's most favorite piece to hear, to play and to dance to in the whole world.Upon hearing it, Yon son hurried into the room, and we sat, sighing, speechless throughout. It was magnificent. It brought her back to us,and it felt like home.
2.It's been just over three years since we acquired our cat, Molly. We had been looking for a feline in the want ads,and when we called, we were told that she had been left off by a shirttail relative in a household unable to keep her, and then the owner promptly left town. For weeks, she had been shoved around from pillar to post, from one unsuitable home to the next. She would come into the house, and immediately hide, because everyplace she went there were young children, and she was terror stricken of loud noises. We didn't even have to talk about it. Yon got up and went to get her. She came to us with only a blanket, and two cans of food. She didn't like to be picked up, didn't want to be held, and barely allowed anyone to pet her. She never uttered a sound for a whole week, and if we shook a container of ice, she would run from the room. The biggest thing about her, were her golden eyes with huge black centers. Now, three years later, she has oodles of toys, which she delights in playing with,is very vocal and social, and is large and glossy, and this morning, she jumped up into Yon son's lap for the first time, ever! I think she's home, at last!
3. Coming into the kitchen in the morning feeling perfectly crummy, and having My bird, Teddy, give me a big loud wolf whistle!
