Target isn't going to like this, but I don't like them, since they kicked The Salvation Army off their property, so I don't care. If you have ever had to go to the Salvation Army for help, then you will feel the same way I do about the Target chain. What is their problem with having a bell-ringer on their doorsteps, anyway? Stop and think! Are they so money grubbing they can't stand to see a handful of change go to the less fortunate? Do they not care about people being hungry and cold and needy in countless other ways over the Holidays? I like the Jingle-jangle of the bells when I go into a store, and I always remember to drop a handful of change into the kettle on the way out,and I don't think Target is going to do very well, no matter what ad campaign they run for the season. I won't even watch them. I have already told everyone they had better not buy anything for me this season from Target, because if they do, I will probably just throw it in the trash, or make them take it back! The very idea that the Salvation Army isn't welcome to set up their little red buckets on their doorstep just makes my blood boil! Target, indeed! Why don't they just change their name to Scrooge's and get it over with?
What a shame that a whole store chain has been taken over by the spirit of greed and selfishness! I wonder...does everyone who works there agree with this policy? If I had been working for them when this new edict came down last year, I would have quit in protest! After all, people, you can be a cashier at any store, you don't have to settle for Target, the Scroogey store you know!
